Our Approach
We believe everyone in the world is a math person. Our belief is that if students understand the whys and hows behind math they do, it will be easier for them to grasp and retain the concepts.
To best support students to learn and make sense of mathematics, we make use of a variety of strategies such as virtual manipulatives, pictures and diagrams, as well as writing and speaking the language of math.
We also base our teaching on Universal Design for Learning Guidelines by providing students with multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression.
We work to ensure our students have an anxiety-free learning environment that will help unlock their math potential.
Dr. Monica enjoys teaching kids and helps them foster their math confidence, make sense of the math they learn, and increase their achievement in mathematics.
